From lead generation activities to following up with cold accounts to taking care of customer queries, a typical sales department has a lot on its plate. An optometrist is like a rookie guard who cuts to the basket on the perimeter – sometimes they need help in closing the deal. (Don’t scrutinise my basketball theory—I haven’t played since Grade 8.)
AI sales assistant software is based on machine learning, predictive analytics, generative AI, and smart automation not only doing the mentioned above but also much more, thus, the delivery of sales teams’ goals will be fast enough, just like a forward on the fast break.
Ready to include AI in your sales workflow yet? I analyzed more than 40 AI sales tools and selected the ones the really stand out.
What makes the best AI sales assistant software?
At the very least, AI sales assistant software will add some AI element to the sales process. However, with such a broad definition, you can make a case that any AI tool could be considered a sales tool since salespeople already use more than just sales-specific tools. undefined
- Core AI features: AI should be the paramount aspect. I realized that many apps sold as “AI” are actually automation tools. This implies that they do not use machine learning to make decisions without user interaction but instead to automatically execute actions dictated by the user through set triggers.
- Sales process assistance: These tools should be AI-powered to perform some particular tasks of sales processes. That tends to play out into a few general fields: lead generation, outreach, and communication.
- Standalone functionality: AI functionalities have become a standard feature for CRMs, ERPs, and project management tools. The AI sales tools that I have selected are self-sufficient and do not require a parent platform to perform. It is recommended to use the AI features in other applications, however, this list provides more specialized options for the rest of your sales processes.
- Integration capabilities: Finally, these tools should be able to integrate with other software to fit well into current sales activities.
Ahead of the paint with my picks, however, one last warning: Even with this narrowed down scope, there are still thousands of AI tools that could make the cut. I couldn’t possibly test every AI app and feature that is coming out, but I did my best.

Best AI sales assistant for cold emails
FastOutreach.ai (Web)
![FastOutreach.ai](https://peaceloverbio.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/19-2-1024x552.png)
FastOutreach pros:
- Your emails train on the sound of your voice.
- Learning over time from your email copy.
- Extremely simple
FastOutreach cons:
- Functionality is limited to only emailing
- Limited integrations
FastOutreach.ai is the most scalable and reliable AI cold emailer amongst a host of other similar tools.
My favorite thing about FastOutreach is that not like similar tools that use generative AI to write campaigns based on generic personas, it prompts you to feed it your own email copy so it sounds like you. Overall, it was relatively fluent for my Bryce Talk Voice in general, though to be fair, most people sound quite generic in their cold email outreach.
Once your profile is set up, you start campaigns with contact lists. I found this a little bit frustrating because it ties its workflow, requiring a CSV upload with some specific column formatting (instead of directly integrating with another database), but that is easy enough to deal with.
After that, you tell FastOutreach what you would like to do with your campaign (I went with “Persuade people to watch ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’ starring Guy Fieri”). It then creates three alternates that you can customize as you wish. You can link with Gmail or Outlook clients to send those messages directly or download them as CSVs and boom: your leads are halfway to Flavortown.
And FastOutreach is in fact a very simple resource—that was what I just described is, in the general sense, all it does. This is a dedicated product with a very unique purpose executed very well, priced at a simple/flat fee per seat ($- per use). This is a solution for you if all that you seek to do is use AI to write cold emails in plain text (simple text) with no inbuilt features such as reporting or lead scraping.
FastOutreach pricing: $99/seat (Unlimited) (Enterprise is per request).
Best AI sales assistant for a dedicated AI receptionist
My AI Front Desk (Web)
![](https://peaceloverbio.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/14-2-1024x357.png)
My AI Front Desk pros:My AI Front Desk pros:
- True AI receptionist
- Simple to deploy
- Such as route automation and chatbot
My AI Front Desk cons: My AI Front Desk cons:
- The interface is in need of a little bit tweaking
- Customization in terms of voice can be carried out only to a certain extent.
When most people think about AI sales assistants, they probably imagine a tool like Virtual Assistant AI—a virtual AI-powered receptionist, which frees up the sales teams’ time by easing the customer load.
Even though My AI Front Desk isn’t the most sophisticated and dynamic tool in the market (and I admit that) it does one thing and one thing only and that is receptionist AI perfectly. For complex technology, it’s deceptively simple: you establish business phone number, business profiles, feed AI with data about your business, add some questions and answers, and indicate the dashboard preferences level, including how chattiness should be. (I must say that I’m keen on a live operator who’s talkative as the outside door!)
In contrast to other virtual assistant tools, My AI Front Desk is not an AI call transcriber or an automated call router, but a smart AI receptionist that can understand the clients’ needs and provide an instant response. The way your bot may interact with customers and training data is told to you. Then, through the platform, a bot assistant that sounds polite and can have phone conversations in real time is deployed. I initiated a conversation with my creation and she uttered the responses that were not the same as the ones I fed her, which means she does not spit out the data word for word . Nowadays all calls are answered and decisions are made by the receptionist, who acts and provides a reply (virtually) the same way a human being would.
Will the AI receptionist have the same quality of service in 5 years?Probably not. I know better tools which will get released and will be as easy-to-use will be in the future, but yes, there are more robust tools which work in the same way for higher money. However, if you specifically need an automated virtual receptionist with a real AI voice (in my own words, the difference is like fake crab using for example imitation crab, I realize), this is the best option.
My AI Front Desk pricing: $34,99/month
Best AI sales tool suite
Regie.ai (Web)
![](https://peaceloverbio.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/13-1-1024x424.png)
Regie.ai pros:
- Huge range of generative and analytical AI tools targeting sales.
- Deals with every stage of outreach management and automation
- Reasonable price
Regie.ai cons:
- Only nine integrations
The most versatile tool out of this list, Regie.ai is an integral hub for using AI to handle outreach. Think of it as a micro AI CRM.
Similar to Postaga, Regie.ai can do the entire campaign outreach; like Lavender, it can use AI insights to aid you in improving your writing; and like Clay, it can enrich lead data. It’s got scheduling features, email sequencing, generative AI for writing emails for the emails and many other features. undefined
- Email verification for confirming lead contact data.
- Call script generation
- It automatically creates social media posts by simply giving it the links you want to share.
- Suggestions of icebreakers that connect a casual conversation topic and a business topic.
- Images produced by text prompts
- Personalization for adapting email copy according to individual prospects
Regie.ai has more distinct AI sales features than any other tool I tried in a very simple dashboard. You can leverage it, from top to bottom for prospecting, copywriting, sequencing, all the way to content creation. Surprisingly, it even manages the inbound emails which most other AI emailers start with outbound only.
Regie.ai lacks some advanced AI capabilities like chatbot or virtual receptionist deployment, but I would not expect it to have them. Regie.ai covers many of the features of these separate tools in one product for such a reasonable price that if you’re looking for one product with a lot of AI sales utility, that’s the one to get.
Regie.ai pricing: Free, Pro ($59/month), Small Business ($89/month), Enterprise (on request)
Best AI sales assistant for sales meetings
Avoma (Web, iOS, Android)
![Best AI sales assistant for sales](https://peaceloverbio.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/15-1024x473.png)
Avoma pros:
- AI-powered meeting performance scoring
- Here we show you an outcome of smart topic detection, live bookmarking and keyword tracking.
- Lots of integrations
Avoma cons:
- Some advanced AI features can only be used for the higher levels of an account.
- At this point AI Scorecards are available only at the highest tiers.
Although a lot of AI meeting assistants exist out there in the world, Avoma stands out as one of the most suitable choices for sales teams.
Avoma’s key utility is centralizing virtual call conferences. This is accomplished through a set of AI-comprising tools for scheduling, contact management, CRM integration, transcripts, post-meeting summaries, topic detection, and keyword-based bookmarking. Thus, the phone does the given functions, but what makes it stand out is that it has intelligent analytics that is based on users activity and conversion which can then be linked to your CRM to update the sales data.
Avoma can be used as a sales tool because it provides the scorecards which allow learning from the meetings and performance dashboard that is exclusively available for users of Business and Enterprise plans. By using machine learning technology, it gives you a picture of how agents are doing during the calls, based on your own criteria. You can notice if the agents do things like asking about the current software program at the prospect, the prospect’s own role, or how much the prospect spends on their tools.
Users should feel pretty comfortable and familiar with Avoma dashboard as it functions in a similar way as other dashboards. This one has a nice looking front end, and I like how it has charts stitched on, as well as videos embedded on. Most of the AI meeting assistants are there who can solve the scheduling issues and transcripts, but not many of them provide the kind of core AI intelligence utility Avoma provides for sales teams.
Avoma pricing: Basic (For free), Starter (24$/month), Plus (59$/month), Business (79$/month), Enterprise (129$/month)
Best AI sales assistant for scraping lead data
Clay (Web)
![Clay Best AI sales assistant](https://peaceloverbio.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/17-1024x479.png)
Clay pros:
- A reporter quickly crawls LinkedIn custom lead reporting.
- A lot of data are augmented to animate their richness.
- Integrated OpenAI bot
Clay cons:
- Lack of sufficient volume of data sources to gather information from
- The accuracy level may be influenced by the quality of the databases.
Prospecting is often the activity that takes up the most time and is the highest reason for manual mind-numbing work for sales teams that do cold emailing, but Clay uses AI to help eliminate this pain.
LinkedIn is utilized by Clay to create spreadsheet-type lead lists , that can be customized based on your data requirements. The first step you take in a new list is when you’re shown the fields that need to be filled for your targets, like job title, experience level, bio/headline keywords, and education. You are able to do this once you set the parameters. The depth of the information you want to pull can now be chosen. Being credits free, basic profiles with no contact information are provided, but you’ll have to buy credits to be able to import complete LinkedIn profiles or have Clay search and enrich emails using the cascade tactic i.e. waterfall of cycling through multiple data enrichment services in succession.
I imagined how an actual email would be written (with apologies, I will not cold email a product manager at Microsoft), but Clay was successful in getting even the personal email addresses to more than half of the people he contacted. (The correct telephone number was not there because it came for my old contact so the accuracy of the results will be questionable.) Then, to the table you will need scrape and search commands to build your table such as “Find most recent post made by user” and “Find out company’s competitors” and you can present a very wide range of data in the spreadsheet.
The ChatGPT plugin comes with a built-in OpenAI bot, to which you can speak and make data changes. You are free to pick a single or more columns in your spreadsheet to order it to do things like determining if company X is B2B or creating copy to reach out to your target audience.
Amongst Clay’ tools for prospect data build, I found this to be quite the robust software, with an excellent array of data enrichment tools. Even though it has access to information linked to LinkedIn or similar sources like GitHub and HubSpot, the data is a bit narrow in its sources. The key is to target the kind of people who are typically using LinkedIn, and then make use of Clay to come up with dynamic prospect profiles.
Clay pricing: Starter ($149/month), Explorer ($349/month), Pro ($800/month) and Enterprise (by request).
Best AI sales assistant for outreach sequencing
Postaga (Web)
![Best AI sales assistant](https://peaceloverbio.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/16-3-1024x567.png)
Postaga pros:
- Start-to-finish outreach campaign generation
- Investigates the existing sector for the recommendations of campaigns.
Postaga cons:
- Interface isn’t the cleanest
- AIs, designed for this purpose, are better at lead capturing than ordinary AI tools.
Outreach may possibly be the most prominent sales application of AI tools as I have tested quite a few of these tools and I found that Postaga is my specific favorite which can fully automate outrreach processes.
To set up a campaign of your choice, Postaga provides a walk-through of the campaign types by general goals, that are put into three categories which are cold outreach, product/service promotion, or content promotion. You will then be able to go ahead and run campaigns which are centered on achieving social media goals like acquiring guest post gigs, offering skyscraper content, listing leads, soliciting customer reviews and offering tools.
The wizard then takes you through the intricate details of your competitors with the examples provided. Thus he will ask you about the company’s offerings, your location to determine the likely contacts that could be viable, and scans the web for the best contacts to send an email sequence. Postaga will produce email copy with custom fields that are based on your profiles and data from your dashboard. Then, you will be given the option to edit them using a simple text editing widget that is native.
Also, you can start your campaign in the Content Hub, which starts with a domain analysis that suggest outreach and engagement strategies. With analysis in place, it delivers suggestions to content-related variables such as content partners, post titles, and related questions. Once you have done your content development from here, you can run a survey to get data that can be used to cause your web pages to be linked to your existing webpages that can further trigger the above campaign creation wizard.
I have to admit though that I’m not that much in awe of the interface which is easy to use but a bit rougher compared to the best ones out there. Additionally I realised that its lead capturing functionality wasn’t as good as AI scraping tools that are designed to just find leads but it was still useful and worked efficiently within the marketing flow. Yet, the challenges notwithstanding, Postaga allows you easily do all the outreach cast, execution, and automation from within the dashboard without the need of leaving its dashboard.
Postaga pricing: Pro ($99/month) and Agency ($299 a month).
Best AI sales assistant for email coaching
Lavender (Web)
![Best AI sales assistant for email coaching](https://peaceloverbio.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/18-1-1024x515.png)
Lavender pros:
- Track email data and provide coaching insights.
- Is synchronized with a web-based management dashboard.
- AI and AI in this blank email and involving reactions for you.
Lavender cons:
- Surfing the web at broadband speeds can be a little bit slower.
- Annoying mailbox mess and clutter.
If you’re a sales rep and your inbox is the space you do your work in on a computing device, Lavender could be the newest employee of your digital workspace. Competing with other AI email agents is not quite a feat as Lavender is the only that offers sales-centered services.
Lavender acts as a browser extension and this is where it syncs with your inbox to give you a range of AI gadgets for better and interesting email experience. Premium customers can take advantage of the Start My Email feature to turn bullets into new messages and even with a free plan, tapping the chatbot integrated into the platform lets you compose them on the spot. Lavender additionally lists examples of how the final copy should sound in the bot’s conversations feed, and you can apply those suggestions with a single click and have it regenerated instantly.
After you have the email message in your inbox, the feature Email Coach of Lavender shows you detailed evaluation data, and you’ll know what to do to make it more probable to engage your prospects. It also even has got a perception assistant to give it that (pseudo) human touch, you know. It also makes sense as more and more users now read email on mobile devices, the mobile preview window is just the right way to see how your message will be rendered on all devices, particularly mobile devices. I am the one who lives for that time of overthinking about them GIFs, also I love a bit of GIF finder, but that would be more a big bonus perk.
Most notably of Lavender is the dashboard that enables team collaboration. As the plugin remains active, Lavender will track your email activity, which will feed your data directly into your profile. To see performance metrics when you log onto a browser you can analyze non-clarity of writing subjects, common readability issues, open rates, and reply rates. Thereafter, the coaching portal helps you to discover ways of writing emails improving and hitting targets.
Now, although I don’t plug sales, I still use Laverder at times. This one is my favorite among the following list and is my top choice AI email buddy for the sales teams.
Lavender pricing: Foundation ($0), Standard ($29/per month), Personal Pro ($49/month), and Teams ($69/per month).
Bonus AI sales tools
This, by the way, there’re lots of AI-based tools that I can use, the range of which I’m sure just can’t get covered. If I applied AI myself I would list some of the other products that didn’t quite make my list but are still worthwhile looking into.
- ChatSpot: Chatbot built on the basis of convenient templates that are tailored to businesses and sales workflows.
- ChatBot: A bot builder that has been mostly programmed to use automation but now features AI that you can train to add in appropriate responses is built.
- BHuman: AI-based videos as a conduit of making different presentations, quote requests, etc.
- Dialpad: A virtual receptionist which uses automation as its base while selecting some AI fancy features.
- Demodesk: Creates demos of the product for leads + includes AI coaching assistant
- Vidyard AI Script Generator: Vidyard Sales Scripts that saves you time from writing those scripts in your meeting.
General AI tools that can help sales teams
AI sales assistants, these are only some of the many virtual and general AI products that salespeople can find helpful, even though they may not be designed specifically for sales. Most of these tools fit into a handful of more general AI tool classes that could also have useful applications for sales processes:Most of these tools fit into a handful of more general AI tool classes that could also have useful applications for sales processes:
- Initially AI machines developed writing generators to create unique copy, messages, texts, and other texts.
- AI chatbots, which are able to use AI to respond to queries and are capable of things such as answering questions, doing text generation and copy paraphrasing.
- AI-enabled meeting assistants that go beyond the level of supporting meetings by transcribing, annotating, and offering data analysis.
- The AI video generators for video creation and editing using the AI technology.
Automate your AI sales assistant software
I’ve said it twice in this post, and I’ll close by going for three (sorry, actual final basketball reference): We can use any AI tool for some part of the sales process. If it’s a tool you’d expect to see on this list but isn’t, then either I tested it and didn’t think it’s the best in the industry or it isn’t a pure AI sales assistant in my criteria.
